Match Time:10/7/2020 18:00 Wednesday（GMT+8）
Hideto Takahashi is missing training for Sagan Tosu and should be considered doubtful.
Shinya Yajima made a late return as substitute for Gamba Osaka last weekend, but they will still be missing Yuji Ono, Genta Miura and back-up keeper Haruki Saruta. Strong rumours are about that veteran Yasuhito Endo will go out on loan to J2's Jubilo Iwata.
Doubtful: Hideto Takahashi (unspecified)
Injured/Unavailable: Yuji Ono (knee surgery), Haruki Saruta (knee surgery), Genta Miura (thigh).
MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Sagan Tosu allowed themselves to be swept aside with ease in a 3-0 away defeat at Sanfrecce Hiroshima last weekend. That is now four defeats in their last six games after an encouraging return to action after their enforced Corona Virus-enforced lay-off made us think they were a changed team. They are not. They are the same team that we saw struggling last time to put any consistency together, and they will struggle again for the rest of this season. They registered four goal attempts in the 90 minutes last weekend.
Gamba Osaka took all three points in a 2-0 home win over Kashima Antlers last weekend, with goals from Patric and Kazuma Watanabe. This was their 4th consecutive win and, even more encouraging for this team is the fact that their defence is one of the top four also, with just 23 goals conceded. Even better news for Gamba Osaka, they have games in hand on all of the teams above them – up to four extra games to play including this one against Sagan Tosu. They are confident, efficient and look good all over the field.
Gamba Osaka are the team to beat right now, and they know that their fate is in their own hands. Expect an away win.
HEAD TO HEAD
In the league matches between these two teams last season each team won their home game.
