MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Neil Thompson took charge of the Sheff Wednesday squad after the board controversially sacked manager Tony Pulis at the beginning of the week and the interim manager made an immediate impact as the Yorkshire club beat Middlesbrough 2-1 in midweek. The home side are now unbeaten in their last three league games.
Derby were let down by an early Martyn Waghorn red card as they slipped to a late 1-0 defeat against Preston on Boxing Day, but the East Midlands club reacted in perfect fashion in midweek as they thrashed a struggling Birmingham side 4-0 away from home. The visitors have climbed out of the bottom three after losing just one of their eight league games under Wayne Rooney.
Sheff Wednesday may have won in midweek but Derby were very convincing against Birmingham and could win again here.
HEAD TO HEAD
Derby are unbeaten in their last four league meetings against Sheff Wednesday.
